𝗗𝗒 𝗬𝗒𝗨 π— π—”π—žπ—˜ 𝗣π—₯π—’π— π—œπ—¦π—˜π—¦?β € β € Most people do. β € When you make a promise is it quick or well thought out? β € β € Most promises are made so quickly the person making it didn't take time to even think through what they are saying. β € β € Promises have become so second nature.β € β € But I want to challenge you to think about WHY you feel like you need to say 'I promise'.....β € β € Why can't you just say yes and that's that?β € Why do you feel a 'promise' is needed? β € β € Is it because you're not sure you'll do it?β € You're convincing yourself and the other person that you will? β € You think if you promise you then you won't forget? β € β € Most likely it's one, all, of some version of what I mentioned above. β € β € All of it is unneccessary! β € If you do what you say you will you won't ever need to promise anyone anything.
